4-H will host the
Spirit of Christmas Canned Food Drive
from November 16-December 16, 2015.
The high school homeroom class to bring the most non-perishable food items wins a homemade cinnamon roll breakfast with “all the fixings,” courtesy of Mrs. Alexander and Homer High 4-H.
Our school goal is 1,000 items. Teachers and staff can help, too. All food is distributed back to local families in Claiborne Parish, and 4-H students sort and pack the food boxes at the Homer Presbyterian Church.
Teachers, 4-H students will begin delivering your food collection boxes and bags beginning next week. We will do the official item count and pick-up on Dec. 16, and the cinnamon roll breakfast party will be held the day we return from Christmas break, since that last week before the break will be busy with mid-term exams. We will announce the class winners before the Christmas holidays.
Thank your for supporting your local community and 4-H.
