At-home work for students in English II and Fine Arts Survey

–E-mails with questions about assignments may be sent to lowens@claibornepsb.org.

–Please expect a response, when possible, during the following times:  7:30—9:30 am M-F during regular school calendar days. Try to stay safe and healthy, and don’t say “Pineapple” too many times!!

English II

–Choose 10 lessons from the Grammar Workbook and complete them in ink, blue or black. Make sure to print your name at the top of each page.

–Tear the completed pages out of the workbook. Take a picture of the front and back of each lesson that you complete and e-mail it to me by May 11, 2020.

Fine Arts Survey

–Choose a nature subject (theme) of your choice. (examples include clouds, trees, birds, insects, flowers, animals, etc.)

–Observe details about your subject, such as color, shape, size, form, texture, etc. Draw your own interpretation of this subject on a plain sheet of paper. You may use pencils, pens, crayons, markers, paint, etc.

—E-mail a picture of your hand-drawn subject to lowens@claibornepsb.org by May 11, 2020.

–Compose a one-page (two paragraphs/ten sentences each) summary that explains your subject/theme from nature. Explain why you chose this subject for your drawing. Include descriptions of line, form, color, shape, texture, etc. E-mail this summary to lowens@claibornepsb.org by May 11, 2020.

Fine Arts Survey

–Complete research on a famous Classical Composer of your choice. (examples include Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff, Schumann, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak)

–Please submit your composer’s name to me via e-mail by April 17, 2020.  I will e-mail approval of your choice by April 19, 2020.  Submit typed copy of report to www.turnitin.com by April 30, 2020.

–E-mail two pages of pictures of your composer and his music to lowens@claibornepsb.org.    by April 25, 2020.  Word Doc or Google Docs may be used for pictures–either one is okay.

–Submit a two-page, typed biographical report to http://www.turnitin.com by April 30, 2020. Include at least three sources on the Works Cited page. Remember to use MLA format.  Plagiarism index should be no more than 15%.
